Evaluation: Who would be the audience for your media product?

Audience for our Media Product.

This is a profile of someone who would fit the primary audience that we have set for our film The Blur:

I am a 16 year old student who enjoys coming of age and drama films. I enjoy watching coming of age films as i am able to relate to the characters that are shown because we are the same age and have a similar lifestyle.

This makes the film more enjoyable and a better experience. I enjoy watching films that use music in a way where it shows emotion, one of the reasons why i like watching drama films is because they seem to be able to use music in a way which it shows the emotions of the characters on screen. The music i listen to is classical and slow relaxing music.

I also enjoy films where there is one character that the audience follows this makes the overall experience more enjoyable when the audience follows just one character as it builds a relationship with the audience and that character.

Filming Diary Second Shooting

After the result of the first shooting not being up to the standard that we wanted we decided to re-shoot the whole thing and make sure we didn't make the same mistakes from last time.

Some of the mistakes that we made on the first shooting was not getting enough shots, we found this is very important because sometimes when you think you have the perfect shot it turns out to not be very good when you begin editing and its just better have a wide range of different shots from the same angle. This is something we definitely did, we shot the same angle about 3 times at different speeds so that when we come to edit we have a big variety of shots.

Match on action (lots of angles) something we didn't think about on the first shooting was match on action and how when its used can make a scene much more interesting and look much better. As shown if you compare our first shooting final cut to our second shooting final cut the amount of match on action used on the second shooting is substantially more.

Some of the things that went our way on the second shooting was the weather was much better for filming and there was almost no wind unlike the first shooting where we had lots of wind (causes wind noise on the microphone)

We also made lots of changes in the shots that we actual had, for example a lot of the shots used were not planned and we had improvised on the day and thought about what would look good when we editing the opening scene.
